She was not just Geraldine’s sister – she was Nikki & Jeremy’s grandmother; Ada Kittle’s sister-in-law; Stan’s aunt; Wanda’s cousin; my former mother-in-law; and the list could keep going. She grew up in Johnston County, attending Powhatan with her parents, Marvin & Pearl, and her sisters. Aunt Annie Markham spoke to me Wednesday and remembered the “Benson Girls” growing up in this community. Annievee will be missed by all who loved her.
