Funeral Arrangements for Kenneth Strickland, Jr.

Martha and I visited with Strick and Marilyn this afternoon. They appreciate the calls they have received from the church family and the pecan pie that was delivered by one of our cherished members. Marilyn and Strick are very strong and are comforted in knowing that their loved one is at peace. Strick is asking merely for prayer. Anyone wishing to send a card, or share a food item with Strick and Marilyn, their address is 712 S Robertson Street, Clayton. They are located right beside the Rite-Aid Drug Store on Robertson Street. Their telephone number is 553-7825.
The wake for Kenneth Jr., will be held at the Minshew Funeral Home in Four Oaks Wednesday afternoon at 1PM with the funeral following at 2PM at the same location. The body will be interred at the McLaurin cemetery in Clayton.

Some have inquired about food for the Strickland family. While the family has requested to be remembered in prayer, they appreciate the cards and food items as well. Many of you who grew up in Clayton remember Kenneth Jr. as Peedink. If you wish to carry a food item by the family’s home, please be mindful that Mr. Kenneth and Ms. Marilyn are diabetic. At this time, the Strickland’s have not indicated interest in having a meal served. Thanks to each of you for all you do to express your love and concern for fellow Powhatan family members.
