Aug 27th Spoke with Aubrey today - He’s says he’s doing much better. Folks no longer have to be dressed in gown, mask, and gloves to come in and see him. He was in good spirits. Continue to left him and Linda up in your prayers.

–Please pray for Margaret Lee Blinson, as her health is declining.

–Ricky asks prayer for his friend who has cancer.

–Becky asks prayer for her brother-in-law, as he goes to the Dr. on Fri. to start treatments.

–Jeanette asks continued prayer for her mother, as her cancer is back. She asks that we also remember her family, as she and Joey are very busy at work, and Kim is back at school.

–Philip Jones praises the Lord that his test results came back fine.

–Wanda asks prayer for all the kids, teachers, and staff, as they return to school.

–Harold asks prayer for all the troops, as they come back home. Many are very young, and have seen a lot, and been through a lot.

–Clayton echoes the prayer request for those returning to school.

–John asks prayer for Lilly’s dad…as he is extremely unhappy at the nursing home, and his dementia may be getting worse. Please also prayer for Lilly’s brother, Roger, as he is not able to have surgery on his spine, and the doctors aren’t sure what they can do for him at this time.

–Jessica asks prayer for her neighbor, Pam, as her father is having heart problems.

–Kay praises the Lord that the results came back that she does not have cancer in her bone marrow. Kay says that she will receive 15 treatments of radiation, as a precaution for the other sites.

Pray for me as i go sept.2nd to take radiation to kill my thyroid gland. Its been a long hard time. I will be glad when it is over.

Aug 22 6:45pm - Aubrey called just a bit ago and said to tell the church family not to try and come up to visit with him because he may very well have a staph infection that is contagious. Any visitors would have to suit up (gowns, hair cover, and gloves) Pray for Aubrey and Linda.

**P.S.  I also just found the following comment from Pastor Jim:

Aubrey’s doctors told him today that he has an infection in his sternum (main chest bone). It is very serious. He and Linda desire your continued prayers.

–Praise Report: Philip Jones received a good report …no major blockages.

–Barbara Barbour requests prayer for a co-worker, who went to the ER a couple of days ago and has to go see a heart specialist.

–Please keep praying for the Casey family. Marshall and Beverly are still having some tough times.

–Ellen asks for continued prayer for Dawn, who has another treatment on Thurs.

–Creig Davis asks prayer for 2 co-workers. The gentleman mentioned earlier goes to the Dr. on Thurs. to find out more about his skin cancer. Also, Creig has a co-worker, who is pregnant for the 1st time…she was pregnant with twins, but recently lost one. She and her husband are having a tough time.

–Carol and Nelson asks prayer for Justin. Please keep their family in your prayers.

–Onnie’s surgery went well…please continue to keep him in your prayers.

–Debbie asks prayer for Hollie’s babies, particularly Joshua right now. Joshua had a bad day on Tues. Debbie also asks prayer for one of her students.

–Billy asks that we continue to pray for our country, its leadership, the upcoming election, etc.

–Creig asks prayer for a man at his work, who has skin cancer on his arm. He will find out more details about the type of cancer this Wed., and he’s apprehensive.

–Clayton’s brother doesn’t have to have surgery right now, but does have to quit smoking.

–Marshall and Beverly are still having some tough times right now.

–Marshall also asks prayer for his uncle, who just had a triple bypass this week.

–Jeanette asks prayer for her mother, who is having an MRI this Thurs.

–Please keep praying for Bunk and Alice.

–Rita asks prayer for her cousin, Burle Jones, who had a stroke and is having a really tough time.

–Beverly asks prayer for Joyce, who has a daughter in UNC. The daughter is not doing well.

–Please remember Philip, as he goes for a catheterization on Tues.

–Please pray for my uncle Roger (Mom’s brother), as he may have to have surgery on his spine.

–Praise Report: Aubrey has already been moved out of intensive care.  He’s in a regular room and will probably be there for about 4-5 more days.

I just know that many prayers are going up for Aubrey today, and people are wanting to know how he is doing. So, since I tend to miss the comments (unless I happen to be the one approving them), I’m making a separate post for this message left by Pastor Jim:

Aubrey went in for surgery this morning at about 8:45am. He was in great spirit; laughing, joking making us laugh as usual. His surgery will last a good six hours. By 4 this after he should be out and we will provide additional information. Continue steadfast in prayer.
