Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a short summer program ministering to local children and adults. The program features a central theme, and teaches the Gospel message and Bible lessons through stories based on this theme.
This year, VBS ran from Sunday, June 11 through Thursday, June 15. Our theme was Maker Fun Factory by Group. Pam Radford (919-333-1218) was our director.
During the visits, God’s Word is shared through hymns and fellowship. The visitation schedule is listed below and on the church calendar, and the visits are open to anyone who would like to attend. For more details, see Becky Harden (919-550-5177).
The Nursing Home Outreach visitation schedule for 2016 is below.
To spread the workload, the Laymen’s League and the Women’s Auxiliary have created teams to serve during our three annual dinners-on-the-grounds: Oldest Members Sunday, Homecoming Sunday, and Pastors Appreciation Day.
Join our Sunday School program for Christian growth and fellowship. Weekly lessons and scripture study provide a framework for learning Biblical doctrine and history. Our class sizes and informal atmosphere encourage participation in small-group-style discussions. Come grow with us!
The ages listed for each class are guidelines; members are encouraged to attend where they feel comfortable.
Our current Sunday School Superintendent is Sandra Peedin, and Janet Jones is her assistant.

The Laymen’s League meets on Family Nights in the Original Fellowship Hall. After a short devotional, the group attends to business. Whether making plans for the next BBQ Chicken Fundraiser or getting together over coffee and biscuits to make sure the church and grounds are in good working order, the Laymen’s League always tries to include a little food and fellowship in its hard work. Our current president is Wayne Beal.
