Tomorrow, (Sunday, September 10), a candidate for the Youth Pastor position will be at the church. Joe Gotshall will teach the Jesus-and-Me Sunday School Class and will give a short Children’s Sermon during the Worship Service preliminaries.
Immediately after the Worship Service, we will have a short, informal meet-and-greet in the Fellowship Hall for parents (or, anyone interested) to speak with Joe.
Due to the weather, the Back-to-School Bash scheduled for Saturday, September 9 is cancelled.
Nancy fell at home and hit her head. Her sons said she wasn’t talking right, afterwards. The rescue squad is taking her to Wake Med.

Services for Betty will be here at Powhatanchurch on Friday, September 1. Visitation will start at 11am, and the funeral will begin at noon. We will feed the family after the funeral.

LaRue has been sent home. It looks like she had a blood sugar issue. They are going to keep an eye on her.

Carol’s hip slipped out of joint last night, causing a great deal of pain. She has been sent to Rex Hospital.
