Original Free Will Baptist Denominational Ministries

Cragmont Assembly

A conference center and retreat located in Black Mountain, NC that came into being in 1945. The ministry exists for “…all Original Free Will Baptist and seekers after Christ who will come to Cragmont to experience Inspiration, receive Instruction, and participate in Recreation directed toward spiritual growth.”

Church Finance

In existence for over 60 years, this ministry of the denomination provides financial assistance in the form of loans to churches and institutions with our denomination for various projects.

Free Will Baptist Children’s Home

“A Christian home for boys and girls since 1920,” in Middlesex, NC.

Free Will Baptist Sunday School Ministry

This ministry of our denomination exists to assist churches in developing knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will enable people to go, teach, and make disciples in each of our communities.

Free Will Baptist Press

This is the printing/publishing ministry of our denomination. This ministry provides Sunday School curriculum to churches, as well as other educational literature to the individual, churches, groups, and ministries that made up the people of the Original Free Will Baptists.

Home Missions and Evangelism

This arm of our denomination supervises all missionary and church extension work within the U.S. They also oversee the formation and promotion of church-sponsored Scouting programs.

Minister’s Program

This ministry exists to provide assistance to aged, retired, and infirmed ministers through gifts and Tax Sheltered Annuity Plans. Programs are also in place for the widows of ministers, as well as post-graduate loans, hardship grants, and financial and retirement seminars for ministers.

OFWB International (Foreign Missions)

This is the foreign missions arm of the Original Free Will Baptist denomination, with works currently underway around the world in Mexico, Liberia, Bulgaria, Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and The Philippines.

Retirement Homes Ministry

This is the youngest of our denominational ministries, coming into existence in 1975. The ministry offers community-based homes or apartments, placement services for returned families needing supervision, and assistance to those in need living at their own location.

University of Mount Olive (formerly Mount Olive College)

Chartered in 1951 by the Original Free Will Baptist Church, the University of Mount Olive (formerly Mount Olive College), enrolls more than 900 traditional students and over 3,800 working adults in Mount Olive, New Bern, Wilmington, Goldsboro, Research Triangle Park, Washington, and Jacksonville, NC. The university is a private institution rooted in the liberal arts tradition with defining Christian values.
