A Note from Pastor Jim :
Dear Church family,
For over fourteen years Martha and I have loved, and been loved by, the wonderful folks at Powhatan. Together we have wept over the passing of many dear brothers and sisters, and rejoiced as God sent new faces to help us pick-up and carry on in His Name. He has always provided and He always will as we keep our hearts and minds focused on His will for our lives and for His Church.
Over the last year, God, and God alone, has made it clear to me that our time at Powhatan was to come to an end as well. The burden of such a revelation was almost too great to even bear, but the burden did not go away, and prayer made it only the more obvious. Martha and I love Powhatan dearly and we are so thankful for the time God has given us to be with you. We have learned from you good things and we hope we have been able to impart some good thing to you as well. Pray for us, as we will certainly be praying for Powhatan.
We believe God has wonderful blessings in store for Powhatan. A new shepherd will come and he will be caught up in that great cloud of Christian love, which is Powhatan, and the excitement and joy will be God’s, and His church and His people will prosper.
