Kim Braswell Nadeau

Posted by: Scott C. on Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

From Wanda Benson:

I have been asking prayer for my sister Kim off and on for the past year. She had surgery June 15, 2009 and has been in and out of the hospital since that time. She is now back in the hospital and is having a lot of serious problems. Friday of last week they put a pick line in her arm so she can get nutrition and vitamins daily for 12 hours a day. She is still trying to work. Her husband has been out of work with surgery and hopefully can return this Friday. Kim has the twins that visit church Matthew and Madison.

Please be much in prayer for Kim and her family. Also remember my Mom (Kay)who has been helping Kim and her family during the past year.

God Bless and thanks for the prayers.

Love u,
Wanda

New Deacons

Posted by: Scott C. on Monday, June 7th, 2010

From Pastor Jim:

The Clerk, Chris Bagley, and the Chairman of the Board of Deacons, Charlie Williams, counted the votes for the election of deacons last night and would like to announce that the following members were elected by majority vote to serve on the Board of Deacons from July 1st, 2010 to June 30th, 2013:

  • Brother Kerry Chestnut,
  • Brother Joey Rollins, and
  • Brother Buck Turner.

The voting was very close and all candidates received a handsome endorsement from the church family. The voting turnout was probably the largest ever. We thank Gregg Watkins, Mike Collins, and Billy Capps for their willingness to serve if elected and want them to know that the church family holds high regard and appreciation for them as evidence by the votes they recevied!

May God richly bless our newly elected deacons and the Church family pray for them!

We thank all of our members for their participation in this year’s election!

God Bless!
