Kristen Owens

From Cynthia:

I spoke with Kristen’s father tonight. He said that the tumors Kristen has now are inoperable and the dr’s say that there’s nothing that can really be
done. She does go Tuesday for more testing so hopefully they will know more
soon. I ask you all to please pray hard for Kristen. She’s been the one to
stay strong when everyone else falls apart. But right now, things are not
looking good for her. Pray that if it’s God’s will, he will heal her and
she will be forever cancer free!!

Your sister in Christ,
Cynthia

Kristen Owens-Update

This was just posted on the Kure For Kristen page on Facebook.

Kure For Kristen
Everyone please pray for Kristen!
She went back for her CT Scan and doctor check up yesterday at UNC Chapel
Hill. Her family just found out today that her scan still shows cancer. She
has several nodules in her abdomen and on her abdominal wall. After
speaking to her cancer physician the family has found out this afternoon
that she not only has one cancer but two different kinds.
Her cancer was Stromal Cell Tumor which is in 2 components. Sertoli-Leydig
Cell Tumor and Granulosa Cell Tumor. Very aggressive and rare. Especially
in someone as young as Kristen.
Dr. Van Le was shocked after looking at the CT scan and report and talking
it over with the radiologist and her colleges. The family will be taking
her back up to Chapel Hill in the next couple of days for more test and
they will be taking biopsy of the nodules as well to see which cancer this
is and deciding what her further treatment will be.
Until then, we are in high volume of prayers and keeping the faith that God
will once again heal her body! He’s done it before and He can surely do it
again. Nothing is too big for God to handle.

Please continue to keep Kristen and her family in your prayers. They
received some not-so-good-news today from her CT scan yesterday. I do not
know any details of what was found but certain that I will know soon. This
19 yr old and her family have been through a lot since September. I know
God has a plan for her life and that he’s going to take special care of
her! I’m glad we serve a GOD that’s promised he will never leave nor
forsake us.

God Bless!
Cynthia
