Powhatan OFWB Homeless Ministry (Missions of Mercy) provides nourishment for stomach & soul in Clayton on Monday evenings. Volunteers provide and cook the food on Monday afternoons. Mission Statement
Our Mission is to provide hope to the hopeless with relief of immediate suffering and avenues of escape from long suffering. We do this by providing the destitute with a positive and influential environment of community volunteers who love them.
It takes boldness to not simply say we love others, but to follow through in actions toward them. It is our love we are living out right now that show we belong to the truth. When we share our hearts, our resources, and our lives with others, we connect not only to each other but to God. Why then would we treat anyone as if they were less than anyone else?
Let us not love in word or speech but in action and in truth.
