Pastor Johnathan is dealing with a family issue and will not be able to attend the outreach at Wilson Mills Community Park this evening. Several others of last week’s attendees are not able to make it today, either. We will try again next Friday!
From Pastor Johnathan:
Ms. Nancy is out of surgery and she is doing well. She broke the record in Smithfield and got seven stents at one time! I just got off the phone with Tracy and he said it was okay to let everyone know that she’s out of surgery and doing well but she still needs some prayer. She’ll be at the hospital in Smithfield for at least another 2 days.
Kelly is having some tests (including a biopsy) done this week. Please pray for her and her family as they await the results.
The visitation will be held at McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton on Thursday, July 28 from 10 to 11 am.
The funeral will follow at McLaurin at 11 am.
Please continue to pray for Billy’s family and friends.
Billy Capps, a former member of Powhatan, passed away this morning after a short term in hospice.
Please pray for Billy’s family and friends.
Joyce was in a car accident on Wednesday, but she was not seriously hurt. She is sore and there is damage to her truck, but she is home and recovering.
She is thankful for everyone’s prayers.
With Preacher Lloyd suffering from COVID, the Communion & Baptism Service originally scheduled for 7/17 has been rescheduled for the evening of 8/7.
This Sunday night (7/17), Pastor Johnathan will lead our regular Bible Study service.
Lloyd and Sandra have caught COVID. They’re getting better and they haven’t run any fever in a couple of days, but they are not completely over the symptoms yet.
Please pray for them both!
Earl and Nancy are both home. It turns out that Nancy had suffered a broken rib and a collapsed lung in her fall.
Please pray for them both as they recover.
From Skip Day:
“My son went in for knee replacement surgery this morning. His fiance is with him, and she says surgery went well. He’s in the recovery room and will probably stay overnight. Please ask our church family to keep my son Skippy in their prayers.”
Please do pray for Skip and his son!
As a result of her fall yesterday, Nancy is still in the Clayton hospital. She sounds good, though she’s still hurting. She’s hoping she can go home soon, but she may require some therapy first.
Please continue praying for both Nancy and Earl.
Dan & Becky have returned from their trip (which they enjoyed), but now they both have COVID.
Please pray for them both.
