BBQ Chicken

At our BBQ Chicken Fundraiser/Outreach, the church body comes together to prepare plates containing:

  • 1/2 chicken, grilled w/BBQ sauce;
  • boiled potatoes;
  • green beans;
  • a dinner roll;
  • a dessert.

Dining options include:

  • eating at the church (in which case, a drink is included with the meal);
  • carry out;
  • local delivery (to the Clayton, NC area – deliveries must be arranged ahead of the event).

With the meal, we include literature about Christianity, salvation, and information about our church.

Come out, support our church, and share in the faith, food, and fellowship!

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a short summer program ministering to local children and adults. The program features a central theme, and teaches the Gospel message and Bible lessons through stories based on this theme.

For 2023, VBS was held from June 25th through 28th. Our theme was Stellar by Group. Wanda Benson was our director, and Kristin Radford and Sarah Chestnut were her assistants.

Sunday School

Join our Sunday School program for Christian growth and fellowship. This is where we develop friendships, learn what it means to be a Christian, and discuss how to apply scriptural truth to our daily lives. Weekly small-group scripture study provides a framework for learning Biblical doctrine and history. Our class sizes and informal atmosphere encourage participation in discussions.

The ages listed for each class are guidelines; members are encouraged to attend where they feel comfortable. Come grow with us!

Laymen’s League

The Laymen’s League meets on Family Nights in the Original Fellowship Hall. After a short devotional, the group attends to business. Whether making plans for the next BBQ Chicken Fundraiser or getting together over coffee and biscuits to make sure the church and grounds are in good working order, the Laymen’s League always tries to include a little food and fellowship in its hard work. Our current president is Jonathan Jacobs-Chestnut.
